Volunteer Work

Volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club in Shallowwater, Texas, has been a transformative experience for me over the past two years. I have had the privilege to engage with the community's youth, providing support, mentorship, and encouragement. My dedication to the club and its mission was recognized when I was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award for 2023 to 2024. This role has not only enriched my life but has also allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the children I serve.

Working with Kids

I began volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club through my Sorority, but I found myself in extra hours because I formed strong connections with the kids. Even without compensation, I cherished every of this organization, from the staff and children to the parents.

Worth every second

Volunteering with kids has greatly improved my mental health. Their joy and laughter brightened my darkest moments, and the taught me resilience and patience. Every moment spent with them reminded me of life's beauty, enriching my spirit and giving me a deeper sense of purpose.

Always being a positive influence

During my time with them, I aimed for the kids to the importance of respecting me while also knowing I am always there for them. I strive to be a positive influence, even if I'm only present for six hours each week.
